TaxFight
TaxFight is live but not open for business yet. The screener runs against the City of Calgary's live assessment data, so everything it tells you about a real address is real. Checkout is not connected (a database, Stripe keys, a Resend key), so nothing can be bought and no card can be charged.

How this actually works

Written for someone who has just opened an assessment notice and thinks the number looks wrong. No sales pitch in these pages.

How Calgary property assessment works

What the City is actually measuring, when it measures it, and why your assessment is not last week's market price.

The customer review period

The cheapest route there is, and the one most people skip. What to say to the assessor and what to have in front of you.

Filing a complaint with the Assessment Review Board

The form, the fee, the matters, the issues, and the one mistake that ends a complaint before it is heard.

Assessment value and market value

Why your assessment does not match what your neighbour sold for, and when that difference is actually an argument.

What the board can and cannot do

It can lower your assessment. It can also raise it. Here is the rest of what it is allowed to consider.
